New Westminster: “Thresholds 1” is leased to Aunt Leah’s Place for delivery of their Thresholds Program. This is a communal living program where moms and babies are supported as they transition into fully independent living. This space is designed to provide for both comfortable, safe living as well as lifeskills development. There is space for up to 5 moms with their babies, each mom and baby having  a bedroom and access to communal living space. Cooking, laundry and recreation also take place in shared spaces.  Since acquiring the property, Aunt Leah’s Place has invested in a fully equipped training kitchen, and a backyard “coach-house” that has been transformed into a training space for lifeskills and cultural programming. This property was acquired from the Society by the Foundation in early 2016.
