New Westminster: “Thresholds 1” is leased to Aunt Leah’s Place for delivery of their Thresholds Program. This is a communal living program delivered to moms and babies as they transition into fully independent living. This space is well equipped to provide a combination of living space and lifeskills training. There is space for up to 5 moms with their babies, each mom and baby having a bedroom and access to a living space. Cooking, laundry and recreation takes place in a shared space. Since acquiring the property, the Society invested in a fully equipped training kitchen, where weekly cooking classes can be carried out. A backyard “coach-house” has been transformed into a training space, where Lifeskills training is provided to the moms from Aunt Leah’s Place programs. This property was acquired from the Society by the Foundation in early 2016.
